Frequently asked questionS
Do I need to worry about Cyclosporiasis with your products?
No! Cyclosporiasis is a “gastrointestinal illness caused by the parasite cyclospora, which spreads through raw produce and water that has been contaminated with human feces.” Since our products are hydroponically grown indoors, using a municipal water source, you do not need to be concerned about this with our products.
Are your products pre-washed?
Because we grow our produce hydroponically indoors and do not use any pesticides or herbicides, technically there is nothing to wash off. Washing is a personal preference, but frankly, we eat right out of the container because we know it is clean!
Where can I buy your produce?
We sell our products at many different local grocery stores. Please visit our where to buy page to find a retailer near you! Don't see your favorite store on our list? Tell them that you'd love for them to carry our products and have them get in touch with us.
How should I keep my produce fresh?
Simple! Keep your Buckeye Fresh produce in the refrigerator in its original clamshell.
How long does your produce last?
Our produce should last until at least until the "Best By" date on the clamshell, assuming that everything between our farm and your table happened correctly. Of course, we never recommend that you eat anything past the expiration date.
